Completion Report

What is a Building Completion Inspection?

A Building Completion Report is a post construction inspection which identifies any and all defects, cosmetic & structural, incomplete work and/or poor workmanship/substandard finishes. Completion Inspections are usually carried out for newly completed homes.

A standard building report will not usually comment on cosmetic defects, a completion report will comment on the same defects as a standard building report and will also itemise cosmetic defects such as scratches on cupboard doors, poor internal paint finish to walls and ceilings, marks on floors and carpets etc.

Our Building Completion Reports are thorough, high quality and easy to understand – with detailed information and photographs. Our report can be handed back to the builder to rectify the listed items.

Building completion reports should be carried out after all work is complete to a building and ideally before the building is occupied to ensure the builder cannot blame cosmetic defects on yourself.
